Infineon Technologies SPOC™ Wire Guard Power Switch IC features a 24‑bit SPI interface with CRC and driving loads up to a nominal current of 34.5A. This switch IC integrates advanced protection mechanisms such as I2t wire and system protection, overcurrent protection, and load shedding for power supply protection. The BTS80009-SWPF-1ES switch IC supports capacitive load switching and handles inrush currents. This switch is compliant with ISO 26262 safety element out of context for safety requirements up to ASIL D. Typical applications include fail-operational power supply, fuse and relay replacement in 12V power distribution, ECU main switch, and load shedding for power supply protection.
