Mouser Electronics Gearing Up for Another Thrilling FIA WEC Season with Rebellion Racing

Mouser Electronics-sponsored Rebellion Racing gears up for another season of FIA WEC racing, debuting April 17 in the United Kingdom.

April 13, 2016 - Mouser Electronics, Inc. will be supporting Rebellion Racing as the team heads to the United Kingdom April 17, kicking off the 2016 FIA WEC racing season at the 6 Hours of Silverstone.

The Mouser-sponsored Rebellion team closed a very successful 2015 racing season on a high note in Bahrain in November, with the No. 13 Rebellion R-One AER winning the last race of the season, the 6 Hours of Bahrain. With that win, the No. 13 crew secured second place in the teams' championship and completed a 1-2 finish for the Swiss team in the FIA WEC Endurance Trophy for Private LMP1 Teams. Rebellion Racing won four of the six races in which the team competed in 2015 with their two Rebellion R-One AER cars, including a 1-2 finish at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

With cars powered by AER P60 V6 GDI twin-turbocharged engines, the Rebellion team earned the distinction of being the top two non-factory cars in their LMP1 class in 2015.

The No. 13 car will be driven by the talented team of Dominik "Dodo" Kraihamer, Alexandre Imperatori and Mathéo Tuscher — who, at 19, is the youngest driver on the circuit. The sister car, No. 12, will be driven by Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld and Nelson Piquet Jr.
