Mouser, Molex Race Team Roars Into Historic Indy 500
Mouser and Molex are teaming up to sponsor the #11 IndyCar in this weekend's legendary Indianapolis 500. Hopes are high as their team won the Indy 500 race in 2013.
May 26, 2016 - History will be made this Sunday at the legendary Indianapolis 500 and the Mouser- and Molex-sponsored KVSH No. 11 car is revving up to be in the center of the action. This will be the 100th running of the granddaddy of American auto sports with the KVSH team led by championship driver Sebastien Bourdais behind the wheel.
Bourdais, who qualified for the 19th spot at 227.428 mph, is contesting his 11th Verizon IndyCar season and third with KVSH Racing. In 151 career IndyCar starts, he has won 34 races and taken 33 pole positions, tying him for seventh on the all-time list in each category. Bourdais is the only driver to win four consecutive IndyCar championships, taking the title in 2004 - 2007. Mouser Electronics, the global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is very pleased to once again partner with valued supplier Molex to sponsor Bourdais and the No. 11 car in this year's Verizon IndyCar Series. "Mouser and Molex are proud to sponsor Sebastien and the KVSH team, and we're excited to watch them bring their precision and skill to this landmark Indy 500 race," said Todd McAtee, Mouser Electronics' Vice President, Americas Business Development. The 2016 season marks the 21st season of the IndyCar Series and includes the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. The Mouser- and Molex-sponsored car won the Indianapolis 500 in 2013, and Bourdais' strong track record has increased hopes for an exciting finish to Sunday's race. . After the Indianapolis 500 the series travels to the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit June 4-5, followed by the Firestone 600 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth on June 11; the Road America Grand Prix in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, on June 26; the Iowa Corn 300 on July 10; and four more races, ending with the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma (Calif.) on September 18.
