Mouser-Sponsored Formula E Team Well Positioned in Standings

Team Now Preparing for Race Through Streets of Berlin

May 20, 2016 - The Mouser Electronics-sponsored Dragon Racing Formula E Team has a solid hold on third place with three big races to go in the exciting Formula E all-electric car racing season. The talented driving team of Jerome D'Ambrosio and Loic Duval managed to maintain a firm hold on third place at the Paris ePrix on April 23.Next up the team heads to Germany for this weekend's Berlin ePrix on May 21.

"The team is in a fantastic position," said Todd McAtee, Vice President, Americas' Business Development for Mouser Electronics. "Last season, Dragon Racing took the number one and three positions at Berlin. We hope for the same great finish this year."

Mouser is a major sponsor of the 2015-16 Dragon Racing team in collaboration with highly valued supplier partners Molex and Panasonic.

The Berlin ePrix has switched venues for season two. With the Tempelhof Airport facility unavailable, a new track has been created in the Mitte district of the German capital. The 2-kilometer track, which has historic Alexanderplatz and the TV tower as a stunning backdrop, features 11 turns and winds its way around Strausberger Platz and towards Alexanderplatz.

This is the second year that Mouser Electronics, the global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is sponsoring Formula E racing. Formula E is a new global racing series from Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body for world motor sports. Formula E features cars powered exclusively by electric power and represents a vision for the future of the motor sports industry over the coming decades, serving as a framework for research and development around the electric vehicle, accelerating general interest in these cars and promoting sustainability.

"Technologically advanced auto racing provides the perfect platform to raise awareness for Mouser as well as our industry-leading partners, Molex and Panasonic." McAtee said. "It's a thrill for all of us here at Mouser to be partners in a high-tech sport that is paving the way for future automotive technologies."

The race in Berlin will be followed by a season-ending double header in London on July 2 and 3. To learn about the series and view a detailed schedule, visit www.mouser.com/formula-e/.
