NKK Switches IS-ENG-KIT SmartDisplay Development Kits
NKK Switches IS-ENG-KIT SmartDisplay Development Kits are designed to accelerate the incorporation of SmartDisplay devices into real-world applications. These kits provide a development platform for experimentation and design viability testing. NKK Switches IS-ENG-KIT kits control up to two SmartDisplays or one OLED rocker. Each kit provides 1M or 16M onboard NOR flash memory for storing images, attributes, and other information. These kits also provide serial communication via USB and feature an auxiliary port with 7 I/O pins of a microcontroller to control/sense other applications.

- Stand-alone or real-time operation
- Preprogrammed for basic operation
- Controls up to 2 SmartDisplays or 1 OLED rocker
- 1M or 16M onboard NOR flash memory to store images, attributes, or any other information
- Serial communication via USB (115.2K, 1 start bit, 8 bit, 1 stop bit)
- Auxiliary port with 7 I/O pins of microcontroller to control/sense other applications
- Reports via USB the switch closures, releases, timer expirations, and addresses of images displayed
- Programmable to change displayed images based on switch actuation and user-defined timers for stand-alone operation
- Schematics and firmware provided for user firmware customization
- User can program the engineering kits using The PICKIT3 and an adapter
- Kits come with 6ft USB 2.0A to Mini-B cable (IS-USB1)
- Maximum 150mA power at 5VDC
- Powered by USB or optional 5V power connection (0.100" spacing)
- Windows-based software provided for communication
