Maxim 송수신기는 장치의 케이블 측(RS-485/RS-422 드라이버/수신기 측)과 UART 측 사이에 5000VRMS(60초)의 갈바닉 절연을 제공합니다. 절연은 그라운드 루프를 차단하여 통신 성능을 높여주며, 포트 사이의 접지 전위에 커다란 차이가 있을 경우 잡음을 줄여줍니다. 이 장치는 최대 500kbps 속도에서 안정적인 통신을 지원합니다. MAX14948에는 반이중 구동/수신 채널이 하나 포함되어 있습니다. 수신기는 1/8 유닛 부하 형태로, 공통 버스에서 최대 256개의 송수신기를 지원합니다. 통합형 진정 고장안전 회로를 통해 입력이 단락 또는 단선되더라도 수신기 출력에서 정상 논리 신호(logic high)를 보장합니다. 저전압 차단 기능은 케이블 측 또는 UART 측 전원 공급이 작동 수준 이하일 때 드라이버를 비활성화합니다.
