The VFD lineup features fuses, diodes, and MOVs that protect equipment against various surges, including overload, short-circuit, transients, and lightning. The rectifiers convert AC line voltage to DC, while the IGBTs limit the DC bus voltage by switching the braking energy to a resistor. The IGBTs act as power inverters, and the NTC sensors indirectly measure the temperature of the power inverter semiconductor switches.

The MOVs protect equipment from damage caused by lightning-induced surges or harmonic voltage disruptions from the power line.
