FRAMOS Adapters & Accessories

FRAMOS Adapters and Accessories feature components to operate the individual sensor modules and individual components of development kits. The FRAMOS Adapters and Accessories are accessible for various sensor-processor combinations within the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem. The devices provide the necessary interfacing and translations between the two components and can be used right off the shelf for prototyping and final designs.

Sensor Adapters

FRAMOS Adapters & Accessories

FRAMOS Sensor Adapter (FSA) boards contain all periphery components required to operate the imagers and are stacked piggyback to the FRAMOS Sensor Modules (FSM). The devices ensure standard communication between the sensor and the processor board, typically done through MIPI CSI-2 (D-PHY) protocols. Many sensor adapters support multiple FSM types, including options for converting Sub-LVDS and SLVS image data to MIPI CSI-2 (D-PHY) signaling. These sensor adapters allow for better image quality, less redundancy, flexibility, and all-on-one-board customization options.

Processor Adapters

The FRAMOS Processor Adapter (FPA) boards provide an interface for third-party processor development boards to work inside the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem. These boards use a common connector that allows quick connection of FSA boards that translate and transfer the sensor signals into the processor development boards. The FPAs target multiple processor development boards and allow for easy sensor performance evaluation on a chosen processor. These boards provide a working baseline system to control the sensor and stream images from FSMs to evaluate and further develop a vision application.
