Texas Instruments TLV1171 Low-Dropout (LDO) Linear Regulators are a low input voltage version of the 1117 voltage regulator. The TLV1171 LDO consumes 500 times lower quiescent current than the traditional 1117 voltage regulator, making the series suitable for applications requiring low standby current. They are also stable with 0mA of load current. These devices have no minimum load requirement, which is ideal for applications in which the regulator is required to power small loads during standby in addition to large currents on the order of 1A during normal operation. TI TLV1171 offers excellent line and load transient performance, resulting in very small magnitude output voltage undershoots and overshoots when the load current requirement changes from less than 1mA to more than 500mA. TI TLV117125EVM-097 Evaluation Module demonstrates the proper operation of the TLV1117125 Low-Dropout Linear Regulator. The EVM is a fully assembled, stand-alone evaluation module.
