L1/V1 Intelligent Power Modules

Mitsubishi Electric L1/V1 Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) enable high-reliability inverters with increased power cycle capability. The IPMs are created by building a control circuit and protection circuit into the IGBT module. The L1/V1 series offers increased power cycling capability compared to the L series, S-DASH SERVO series, and the V series. Mitsubishi Electric L1/V1 IPMs come with built-in protections, including undervoltage, short circuit, and overtemperature. The V1 series features low power loss and a compact package for inverters with volumes of 37kW or greater and servo systems with volumes of 15kW or greater. These IPMs are available in various package sizes and main terminal connections and are ideal for renewable energy applications and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).

Variable frequency inverters are widely utilized in motor control systems to use energy more efficiently. There is a growing demand for IPMs with lower power loss, higher output volume, and smaller package sizes. Mitsubishi Electric IPMs include the L1, L1A, L1B, V1, and G1 series. With rated voltages of 600V, 650V, and 1200V, these IPMs are ideal for industrial equipment and renewable energy applications.
