MakerBot SKETCH Polylactic Acid (PLA) and Tough Filaments are specifically formulated for SKETCH 3D printers and are sized to fit within the SKETCH spool holder. The PLA filament is a corn-based plastic that is considered biodegradable under industrial processes. This material is ideal for early concept models because it is easy to use and office-friendly. The PLA filament also works great with breakaway supports, which print faster and can be removed more quickly than dissolvable supports.
