In Potting I, connector assemblies are pre-assembled to the fan's PCBA or stator before potting, resulting in tight mechanical constraints on the connector housing dimensions and material compatibility. This is especially true for smaller frame sizes where strut-to-strut spacing is limited. The Potting II process eliminates these limitations, enabling expanded lead wire and connector configurations without the mechanical and thermal restrictions of Potting I.
